Mary Ellen began taking painting lessons in 1997 after she retired from teaching English. She chose to study watercolor because it's the medium that she's loved since she was a child.
The beautiful colors and soft effects, as well as the surprises that can often become welcome additions to a painting, are some of the reasons she enjoys painting in watercolor.
Mary Ellen likes being creative and paints, she says, "To have fun!".
Mary Ellen has been coming to my Time to Paint open studio sessions for over two years at the time of this posting. I am delighted to be able to share her lovely work with you!
